Tentatively asked my Boxing day host if they looked out for the RT logo. He said they just got whatever ASDA sold and put on the van. All he understood was looking out for a Union Flag, and would purchase something with a Union Flag if it was same price or slightly more expensive than alternative product. That was someone who earns £60k + wife's income.

I'd guess most people would interchange RT logo and a Union Flag as meaning British, and not really differentiate between the two.

That said, would be fair to say RT logo would be most recognised quality mark?

I made sure that nothing I have eaten or drunk this festive time has had any RT logo on it.

All produced......or said it was........ from the UK, except a couple of bottles of wine

Most the seasonal veg we buy has rt logo milk and cereal ( cereal with tropical fruit cannot have rt but most pure cereal now rt except rice or maize based stopped eating imported cereal 25 years ago )
turkey from a local farmer who I know is rt
ham from local butchers
beer from English or Scottish brewers supplied by local merchants
sloe gin from a local supplier
bread from hovis is or warbertons butter with ft on the label
chocolate usually imported

Turkey from Lidl, (frozen crown) it was fine & cost about £12

Rib of beef was home grown, 30 month Sim X steer, zero food miles, I shot him myself on the farm & a mate butchered him for us.
