Dieci Agri tech 35.7 question

Just bought a 35.7 had sat on a dealers lot for a long time.
Anyway ran it today for a while made a trip down the road to another job, came back everything was fine. Shut it down, came back a couple hours later and now it won't move.
I THINK it's not sensing that the parking brake is off - brakes were locked, but I did the "release for towing" and I can move it back and forth with the bucket/boom, and park/release is working now. But trans still does not seem to engage.

Any ideas as what to check? No dealer anywhere near so I am kinda on my own.

Not on topic I know but how much weight can you tow with a pickup like that?
In the UK we are about 3500 kg including the trailer. That trailer and handler must weigh double that!

The American pickups are a bit different to what's available in the UK, 6.7 litre 385hp engines and towing capacity up to around 8,000 kg for the 2500 single wheel models like the one shown and 14,000kg for the dual wheel 3500s.

We had a similar trouble with a dieci telescopic. Stood for a while, then took it on the road for 3 miles then parked up overnight. In the morning, it didn't work properly.
  • wouldn't drive forward/back,
  • The boom didn't lift properly.
  • Steering and handbrake was poor.
It had a mix of the above faults sometimes all at once, then it might work perfectly for 5 mins.

The fix was to change the hydraulic oil suction filters inside the tank.

Maybe your having simlar problems?

It will tow WAAAY more than legal, LOL, this one has a few "enhancements" should be in the 500 HP+ area. Once when pulling a load of 32% nitrogen to the field I had 32,600# on the trailer. That was a bit too much.

Sounds pretty close to my problems , except that everything else works perfectly, just won't move forward/reverse. Seems like it THINKS the parking brake is still engaged.
I'm sure I can fix it , just need to know where to look for the solenoid that controls it.

It's a very low hour machine 440 hours on the clock.

Thanks for the replies to a noobie on the forum:)

I tried that several times, wondered if disconnecting the battery would reset anything?
Still leaning towards a stuck solenoid, if I can figure out where to look.

I don't know a great deal about the mechanics of these machines to be of much use over the net. But I did stubble across a repair manual somewhere on the net a few years ago and saved it, it covers several models and may or may not be of use to someone that runs a Dieci.

As for axles yes you can supply them but it's the new agristar 40.7 we have and has a kubota motor in her but if it doesn't get any better it won't stay here long!

40.7 gone to Kubota:scratchhead:(n) thought the 40.7 was the flagship agi model with the newer ones having Iveco NEF with add blue and 145hp?

Now Then..
I presume your machine has a column mounted F.N.R. lever and also an F.N.R. switch mounted on the joystick??
There's a yellow switch on the front switch panel to control which one you're using..
So,, is it as simple as you're using the column FNR with the switch set to joystick FNR??

I did get the Fwd/Rev problem fixed I think, at least it ran for about 3 hours today.
It seems the brake accumulator pressure switch wasn't getting good contact. At least when I removed and reinstalled it it worked.

Mine only has the column mounted F.N.R.
