Any recommendations or experience of different makes. Been looking at doosan 7/41 and atlas copco xas67 fir shed and combine cleaning. Also where to look for one as there doesn't appear to be many around at present.

Got a 7/41 from euroauctions at leeds. looks like shite but runs well and makes good clean air, yanmar engine so should be good, cost £1250 about 18month ago. think they have another sale at the start of December. theres normally 30 odd compressors in. 7/41 will be 140cfm so popular with the sandblasting boys. for blowing off a bit of machinery a single tool one will be in less demand. no experience of the copco.

Have had two Doosan 7/31E one from Ritchie Bros Sheffield Site - bought unseen - disappointed the Generator had been robbed but Yanmar engine and compressor side is good - only used for a bit of paint spraying and blowing out dusty machines, and tyre blowing up - useful piece of kit - used to tow behind my service vehicle when going to site - speeded the job up with an air gun. -
There are 30 odd in next Euroauction Sale next week - go to view in advance - take some Jump Leads with you - you'll not get much help from anyone there - at least you can start them up and see if they make air.
You can see them on Euro Web site - they are listed under Misc - then Compressors -

If there is no diesel in them or battery missing - it will be because they have a compressor problem so discount those! The models with the Generator have a Fuse Box (on Doosan) externally in front offside are very useful supplying 110 voltage for power tools in the field for breakdowns - around 6 kva from memory - you can always find a Forklift nearby to jump off if weak battery in this cold weather - viewing from Monday usually.
