Diesel freezes????

This is wrong time of year to be talking about this .... but I am watching a WW 2 documentary on channel 5 where an historian talking about the Russian T34 tank which was diesel powered but diesel freezes at a lower temperature than petrol which caused problems. I know that diesel freezes at a higher temperature than petrol !!
I am 101 per cent confident of
This but I don't know how to contact the historian to correct his mistake

I suspect the eminent historian, was not aware that minus 60, freezing point petrol is actually cooler than minus 15.
So many of these prats have no idea of relative temprature
