Diet feeder meal bin

Better to have one perched up on a gantry or one lower down with an auger? At the minute the meal is tying up half a shed that I could be doing with. Only problem is that my last bin didn't run very well but I'm told that they should be in the sun instead of in a dark damp place to stop condensation forming.

We got one with an auger and a remote, so you haven’t got to get wet on a bad day. Easy to put in small amounts of meal as well.

Does it ever not run or would the vibration from the auger keep the meal flowing? Thanks

had problems at the start with the auger not starting but they put a bigger motor on and it’s been faultless ever since. The auger vibration will keep things moving I guess. Been in for a year so far. Collins on.

This is ours from N D Jeans. We have no electricity up there, but gravity is more reliable than augers.

Yes we had to put in a substantial base for it. They erected it with a tipping frame on their lorry, but frightened me as they positioned it walking it with crowbars!

Sadly as we are in a sensitive area with Roman wall and AONB etc we thought a high rise one would cause some complaints whereas the auger bin was no higher than the shed next to it

I have a 12 ton with an auger ordered now, need a 3m square base now just to set it on. Be good to get my shed back and have a chance of getting rid of the mice
