POA as usual https://www.peterwoodhouse.co.uk/diet-feedershow much though? 3k to reline a Keenan apparently
We picked rmh up at farm sale for around 5 k. U will save a massive amount of time than Kenan so worth spending abit extraThanks I will start looking for a tub machine only problem not a big budget !!
am I right in saying you get a better mix with your tub feeder ??
So would you be using more fuel / horse power than the Keenan ?
Get a Keenan tub best of both worlds then? Also wouldn’t a tub feeder wear a lot harder than the Keenan , more expensive to run ??
There's a fair bit more to go wrong on a Keenan than our tub. We were well fed up of mending our Klassik 140, even the "improved" parts.I have a mech 360 Keenan for one reason one reason alone simplicity , I don’t like the way Keenan conduct their bussiness mind I’m not keen on them at all but I want a simple machine , 11 years on I want at least another 11 year out of it if not twenty I have sucklers no money to be changing feeders like the underpants buy once buy right keep long time .
No gear box , it’s done 11 winters so far so good ,There's a fair bit more to go wrong on a Keenan than our tub. We were well fed up of mending our Klassik 140, even the "improved" parts.
Give me an oil immersed gearbox over 3 chains any day. Of you're only using it through the winter then I suppose it's got an easy life.No gear box , it’s done 11 winters so far so good ,
Everyone says about to gear box but we have never touched them everGive me an oil immersed gearbox over 3 chains any day. Of you're only using it through the winter then I suppose it's got an easy life.
We looked at mixer wagons but went down a different route instead, If you compare the build quality and finish to other wagons the Shelbourne will win every time! What model of Shelbourne Reynolds have you got ??
Aye it has because I also look after it very wellGive me an oil immersed gearbox over 3 chains any day. Of you're only using it through the winter then I suppose it's got an easy life.
Give me a snapped chain over a buggerd gear box any day . And the new Keenan s have oil immersed chains .Give me an oil immersed gearbox over 3 chains any day. Of you're only using it through the winter then I suppose it's got an easy life.
That’s who I spoke to for a ballpark figure
our old shelbourne reynolds was a right pain near the end of its life everything was slightly worn and flexed abit so it would throw a chain off for no reason When it got abit to much pressure new chains and lots of welding didn’t help MuchGive me a snapped chain over a buggerd gear box any day . the new strautmann with a gearbox is in a different league when it comes to build quality Can chop bales in 1000 shaft and low revs
