King pin style is just a pita too use it’s helpful every once in a blue moon but over all it just makes it clumsy, since you can’t take the boom up as high.
Depending on the machine it’s a pain to clean up because the bucket won’t touch the blade.
Also harder to load a high trailer with because it need to be in the perfect place or you can’t reach in it.
Also makes it nose heavy if going into wet ground and they just don’t want to sit as well in general.
Mono boom is a better option I think anyway

Still looking... Considering next month's Euro Auctions. Am I taking a big chance??

No not at all, most the big hitters get there stock from there anyway, go the day before have a good go in all of the ones you’ve earmarked, I bought a 21tonner and inspected the ones I had earmarked at least 3 times over my time on site, the one that looked the best in the pictures was the worse in real life, hotel & a few pints and ready for sale day,

I personally don’t like the way they stick 3 or 4 similar but maybe different year/hours things on the ramp and then sell them with the option or let the high bidder take the pick of which they want, for example they might put lots 100,101,102,103 on the ramp and if you want lot 102 what do you do because the other chap bidding might want 101 so it’s a bit of a mind game and I guess it pays them handsomely to do it,

I’ve bought a few big bits which turned out exactly as I expected, very professional outfit

The geometry of every offset machine differs greatly some good and some very poor, the twin lift rams on the larger Takeutchi’s allow them to have much more movement than my previous machines.

Bump.. any more 7 ton mono boom diggers out there? Have spotted a couple in Euro Auctions next week, probably will take a spin across if I can't get sorted out before it

Sold our Kubota 2.5 ton within 24 hours of advertising it and now have no digger!
