Digging a pond / lake

Could anyone help me with a rough cost to dig a 60m x 60m x 6ft pond?

Gravel soil to be laden into dumper and tipped 500m away.

haven’t got a clue on what work rates I should expect from a 360 or costs.

How porous is the sub base ,,no good digging a hole, only to find all the water soaks away
Might find it needs linning with clay to stop it leaking

Springs have a habit of moving , as water finds the easy way out ,they could move every year and could leave you very dry

Very little, a 360 needs a lot more than one dumper on a 1000m round trip

14 ton 360 would be £35-40 per hour roughly

Just going to dig into the springs; have 3 close by in the valley which work like this and seem to stay full and clear.

A friend of mine did similar but probably less than half that size recently. He had a 13 ton digger and most of the time a 5 ton dumper carting the spoil probably 50 yards maximum.
The digger driver spent most of his time arseing about on his phone waiting for the dumper. They also had a 10 ton dump trailer there at times but digger still wasn't stretched
I "think" it cost about £10k but that would have been a bargain price and contractors out of pocket at that.
Carting spoil 500m takes ages and inevitably makes a mess.
A pile of spoil that big takes a lot of hiding and also a lot of tidying up just to level it out or smooth it off whatever you want to do with it. You then will have to deal with the drainage issues caused by your excavations and your new mountain.

With a 20 tn 360 and a 9 tn dumper ,you would load it in 2 minutes and be waiting 10 minutes to return ,take for ever to move that amount

Unless you want the digger driver to fall asleep you would need 2 ADT's rather than dumpers

1000 trips on a 10 ton dumper
20 grand or there abouts at a rough guess dependant on site and what happens to spoil
