Time to renew shot gun certificate. They are giving option to renew on line . To do so you have to provide digital passport photo . Do I need to take a selfie and run it through an app? What have other members done ?

I did a quick trip to Morrisons last time - but not sure those phot booths are even open.

They can use your passport photo if you renew online, just fill in the option and the passport number iirc.

If its same as others u should be able to take photo on phone and upload, the website software usually tweaks it too suit (does that for online passport renewal anyway)

Have similar thing here, but I have to renew photo driving license online. I’m going to take a selfie against a plain background and somehow get it into the application.

Did mine last year and just took a selfie. Cropped it afterwards on the computer. It all went through ok.

It some times can be difficult to get one the system recognises. Make sure lighting ids good and back ground is white.
Trim all unnecessary background and get the proportions right
