Dipping tub design

I’m going to construct a dipping tub in my sheep yard hopefully buy a precast tub I’ve got an area of 40feet x8feet in which to place tub and drain off yard have pen at back to load into tub. What is best design??

Rectangle tubs are faster for big numbers but don’t give the sheep as much time in the dip. We have a round forcing pen at the entrance to one dipper. Otherwise it’s hard labour getting them near

I’ve heard of people having a sheet of glass along one side of tub and when sheep run by tub they slip in. But I’ve never actually seen this so maybe it doesn’t work???

Our round one is like that it has a slide in. They are still to put in they don’t just slide in unless they jump.

The old dip here is made from concrete blocks? Roughly 30ft long, 4ft wide with steps at the far end. 300+ an hour from what I’ve been told, it’s built right next to the footbath, divider off the race goes into the footbath normally, divert the divider into the dip and they can’t stop before being pushed from behind. Helps to run them through the footbath the day before a few inch deep with no solution in it.

The most I’d be doing at one time would be 300-400 I’d reckon

It’s basically a round tub precast with a slide at one side with a round forcing pen next to it. No race. There’s no real point in a race as they won’t run
