Direct drill

My current rotation is a bit all over the place. With the last the last two years weather conditions. The worst BG field has gone it to grass. The other fields were fallow then one has gone in to a W wheat the other into a s wheat.
i ploughed the W wheat field. Hasn’t been ploughed for 4/5 years. Hoping it would give me stale seedbed but there still a big pocket of BG left.
my fanterra Used to have cod breakers paddles on springs. But they just kept blocking up. So took some off for a wider gap and replace paddle with points.

A 3m Claydon will take some pulling but the power required reduces after a couple of years as your soil gets a more natural structure. What a direct drill does not do is fix a blackgrass problem. The rotation helps with that.
