Direct from Farm (Scotland)

Hello Folks.

I'm new here so firstly hello!!

I was hoping by going directly to the source I could get some good information directly from the farmers themselves.

We (as a family) consume quite a lot of meat and I'm wondering what is the best route to get full lambs, hind quarters etc. (Slaughtered but not necessarily butchered). Ideally I'd like to go straight to the source so I know the quality etc (means more ££ for the farmer and maybe saves me a few quid too in the process)

Hopefully I could get some pointers in the right direction? (I'm based in central Scotland)

Thanks!

Good to hear that you want to buy direct!
There’s quite a lot of people doing direct sales now - Facebook and Twitter are actually quite useful in finding out who does it. We are Pasture for Life but not many Scottish members yet. Some people’s pages have links to their websites with facilities to buy online. We sell 100% pasture fed beef direct. You might have to contact quite a number of suppliers to have a regular order - we post on FB when we have a beast to go to the abattoir but it mostly goes quickly and any left is frozen till the next one is ready.
