Sunflower residue still standing about 3-4' tall, I think some will still be above the crop at harvest. This field received no glyphosate, so far only Liberator and Spitfire applied. Seems to have done a reasonable job on weeds except for the occasional barley plant.View attachment 925439

My winter cover crop is still flowering, although over the next few weeks it will be grazed by sheep. Hopefully there will be some re-growth before spring,

The wheat was drilled with a Kuhn SD4000, see my post on the previous page for pics of that. The covers were scratched in using an Amazone Primera the day after the straw was cleared. How was that established?
I told a friend that beans into maize stubble would work better than wheat.Tundra drilled 19 October with the Sabre tine KV conversion we bought from @Bob lincs

Good break from maize at least - maize is what we need breaks from!I told a friend that beans into maize stubble would work better than wheat.
Nice double break there.
Are you still using it on the rear of your caddy or have you brought a front hopper ?Tundra drilled 19 October with the Sabre tine KV conversion we bought from @Bob lincs

We still have the caddy and GD, but have done a deal with Weaving to trade it for a new front hopper. Changeover due in June as we have no spring drilling other than maize. Are you still using it on the rear of your caddy or have you brought a front hopper ?
You get that on ploughing!Walking the winter barley this afternoon I was very surprised as to how active the spiders were.View attachment 944037View attachment 944038
