Yep, also found that, wheat after grass on clay definitely had poor emergence due having to sink the dual coulter in deep to get soil cover, but then it is under too thick a wad of soil to make it through. More shallow and you get peeling like you say.

Wheat after oats drilled with the Erth Agriseeder:

Droughting out in the lightest patches, plus I striped it with Origin AN, but certainly can't complain about the emergence.
They look well, how does Erth manage on hard clay?

Cover crop going into strip tilled maize. Contractor's work paid for by Anglian Water, seed would have been if it was grass but I wanted Westerwolds, vetch, fodder radish, crimson clover, linseed and forage rape. Dust is from the top, it is surprising how much moisture there is 1 cm down despite the lack of rain.
Maize looks so much better than the previous two years.

Always surprising what the mzuri will plant through, this was drilled through standing 6ft forage rye. It's only the corner of the field that was left uncut (some branches had fallen and needed moving with a loader after cutting the rest of the field) and I wouldn't have wanted to do too much like this, but nonetheless, it did the job.

Stitching some multi-species refreshment into our grazing paddocks. The photo was taken as we started the headlands, so a bit of overlap on the scuts. I was very pleased with the job it was doing, and we will flat roll it tomorrow.
