Direct tine drill options

We are looking to replace our old type plastic hopper weaving sabre tine drill. Have I forgotten any makes to consider? we ideally want 4m because I like my tramlines and the 4.8 cocks them up and makes the waylines more complicated. I want to be able to go straight into stubble, drill grass seeds and beans and work in damp conditions when the disc drill won’t. We have a grant so obviously needs to be new. Currently looking at claydon with low disturbance kit which could work quite well as have the option of front tine if needed, sabre tine but only comes in 4m and leg is a bit thin to get beans down the slot, going to ring up about simtech tomorrow. Kv looks too weak, anything I’ve missed?

Triton - best slot closing system on the market.
You can claim the grant and I think the 4m is about £27,000 from memory.

The sabretine seed tube is the biggest one I’ve seen on any drill ever!?

I drill in the dry usually did them 10 th Oct last year but still struggle to get the depth
I can’t comment on the sabretine mounted drill; but I have the sabretine coulter in a freeflow that I still use occasionally. As long as you have some weight in the drill (as in not front hopper) I think you would need to go to a Claydon to guarantee better depth achieving ability; with the associated disturbance

The Kuhn Megant is worth a look but is not a no till drill. You will need some kind of loose tilth to work into. PA Turney have one in stock. Farols too.

The Weaving Sabre Tine is probably your best bet but they are flat out until early 2025, unless there is a stock machine anywhere.

I think my cousin has bought the one in Turneys but I don’t think it’s strong enough for what I want. Substantially cheaper than a weaving though
