Dirty water pump

What kind of pump do people use for dirty water. I want to pump out yard water which has silage in too, not loads but enough to get in the filter of a petrol 2 inch pump. I'm hoping to fit a length pipe and pump it out to drain away, so high pressure could be handy. It also could be used to drain a silage effluent tank, so I'm thinking submersible that's portable. Three phase is available if that increases options.

Be easier to use a vacuum tanker for that sort of operation I would think?

However, we pump our parlour washings with this

Cheap enough that when it fails, just bin it.

Thanks.
I don't have a vacuum tanker, would be best but I thought there must be somthing suitable to pump it.

Progressive cavity pump (aka snake in a well), used to be known under the brand name Mono. We use one from the dirty water lagoon to the Rotorainer, also used to pump separated digestate about a mile to the field lagoon through our underground irrigation main. There is a wide range of sizes from several suppliers, just don't let it run dry.

Bit of silage over the inlet and you would have a knackered pump. I have one and it's brilliant but if the inlet get blocked it's all over. Mine has a thermal trip, outlet flow trip, a float switch and a strainer the size of 3 ring feeders and they have all been needed at some point. It also has a primer built in so it doens't run dry at start up. . Been in 5 or 6 years and has pumped all the sh!t from 500 cows with zero maintenance.

Important to figure out what volumes you need to shift, over what distance / head & how much solids are involved.
We have a couple of pumps from this company shifting dirty water which work well.
If you tell them your spec they will recommend a pump.

Did Allpump supply it?
The primer is interesting, based on my experience of our mono pump from years ago, definitely a wise decision.

Not moving alot. Just fancy the handedness of switching a pump on and letting it do it's thing. Don't want problems of the intake blocking up though. It doesn't need to do it fast either. Reliability so it just works when needed.
I once saw a sewage pump on e Bay that might have been the thing but was a fair price. Think it would have handled anything.

Pumps direct supplied it. It a mono copy. I just put a tee on the inlet with a 32mm mains water pipe to let some mains water in while it sucks the dirty water up. Works a treat.

I have used a macerator pump for similar for years, low pressure but pumps for a half mile up a 50mm pipe no problem.

This sort of thing.

No idea what model mine is but it is 3 phase, no inlet filter to jam, have replaced 3 float switches over the years though but they are cheap.

We use a suzler piranha macerator pump for similar sort of thing, will chop/pump lumps of silage etc, not cheap about 1200 quid last time I think, get a 3 phase pump if you can.

Would a slurry submersible pump not be a better option?
we have one in our reception pit feeding a seperator. So handy being able to pull it out with a length of rope for service.
having said that it’s not needed to come out once yet, never blocked never missed a beat. Wouldn’t be as cheap as the above submersibles but put them next to each other you can see why.
