'Please don't throw dog mess bags into the field. Dog poo transmits Neospora which causes abortion in cattle. Thank you for your support. '

I think that if they are going to the effort of bagging it they are at the more intelligent end of the spectrum, so keep it polite, they just aren't aware of the repercussions.

If they aren’t aware of littering with plastic they can’t be very bright

Would the council put a few poo bins along the path side ,,I know not everybody will use them or even bag up the mess but it might give them the incentive to use them instead of throwing it over
Round here they just get stuffed full of any rubbish and never seem to be emptied.
Local council going back to just ordinary bins.

Sadly a camera is the only way. It’s also fun to post and watch the comments. I’d suggest posting about 6:15pm on a Friday for best sport!

I've had similar problem for years, I normally collect bags from around the pull in and hang them on the windscreen wiper of the car or carsthat are there at the time. They may be the innocent party but chances are they will know who is responsible if they are regulars. Pick a different car next time the message soon gets out.
Bins don't work in rural areas as it makes them lazy, and besides costs probably a hundred pounds a month to empty each one.
