It’s the cheapest model LR make. A collegue has a 2018 HSE while we wait for his new pickup. If it was my money, I’d not buy one!

Lady in business unit here had one on lease, sent it back after three months, too many electrical probllems. One was parking brake I think, they suggested that parking with the front wheels not straight was causing it……
Agronomist has just got the hybrid but too early for any stories.
If it was me I would be test driving an XC60, our Freelander 2 was nice though.

Had one 5 years from new. Done about 60-70k miles (wife drives it more than me)
Had a new DPF, but that’s it (cost £1k fitted). Think if DPF light came on again I would take it to a place that reconditions/cleans them first before I replace it.
Other than that, I’ve been pleased with it. Hope to swap it next year

Had one for 3 yrs, best day was when the contract hire finished. I had waited until they got the new Diesel engine before getting it, one of the least enjoyable cars we have had, no guts, and poor brakes. Plenty better vehicles to choose from.

It’s a Hairdresser,s car

That would surely be the ‘Velar’, a name apparently derived from the Latin word ‘to hide or cover over’.

It’s almost like a Jaguar Landrover boardroom ‘in joke’ , to hide the fact that they’re persuading some of their more taste blind customers to spend £45,000+ (Or guesstimate PCP of £600/month) on a glitter sprinkled turd.

Probably better with a proper Disco. The new ones with the ingenium straight 6 are lovely and won't have the crank issues. 14% discount available with the right schemes

Son’s GF was looking seriously for one for a few months but an 3 litre X5 M Sport came up with low mileage and a far better reputation - had been a trade in at a LR main dealer and been through their workshops - not used for towing but quite a nice toy and bought outright with her “bonus”.

That's what my wife ended up buying. Looked much better value for money if you can describe a car like that as value for money.

Been 100% reliable up till now had it 2.5 years. Got MOT tomorrow.
