Yes and no. We live off the beaten track a bit so need a bit of 4wd. Also we are a family of five so want to have something but bigger and sturdier than a little run about to hopefully keep us safe if ever there was an accident

Disco sport is a lot bigger than a xc60. Think the Skoda is the only one similar size in same price bracket

Just done a deal to change my discovery,2yr old and got more than I paid for it,I can live with depreciation like that!
Yeah, but how much have they went up?

I'd get only 3k less than I bought my used car for 2.5 years ago. From WBAC Used prices along with everything else gone nuts.

Up a fair bit but it's cost a lot less to change this one than it did the last one at roughly same age, wasn't really looking to change it but the figures tempted me,wife's X5 hasn't held its value as well as the disco and new x5's have got very expensive.

It's a X5 we have. We bought it at 3 year old. Don't think we could afford another one. Don't seem to be many new style used ones about. Wife wants a D5. Was speaking to one of her friends that has a smart D5 that are looking to change at 3 years old. There getting offered 6k less than new price from LR dealer against another new one.

Parents have had disco sport since new, 4 trouble free years. Done a deal for a new one in March and we were buying their one, but due to wait for chips apparently the delivery date keeps getting put back, could be up to 12 months is latest!

With a starting price of £20k more than the Sport.
Do you own a Fendt by any chance?
Apologies, I hadn’t realised the difference was as much as that, I’ve never looked into disco sports more than a quick sit in a car in a showroom.

I don’t have a Fendt, not sure what that has to do with anything?

@Cowabunga will fill us in, but I’m sure the early ones suffered early DPF failure due to its location, and it’s not easily fixable.

Later ones aren’t affected. I think the ingenium engine is generally pretty good?

Probably better with a proper Disco. The new ones with the ingenium straight 6 are lovely and won't have the crank issues. 14% discount available with the right schemes
Agree with above 👆 Traded my disco sport for a new Disco D300 amazing car & better on fuel despite 300hp & straight 6
If you’re vat registered & go for the commercial the price is very similar but you do have to add back seats
I’m not sure about the crank issues
