Does anyone use Hellidor disc's underneath a Lemken Solitare drill? Sometimes a power harrow can be a bit overkill and working ground too much even though I slow rota speed down, plus diesel use.

We have a Solitair 8 drill with the Heliodor. Bought it 2015 with one and a half seasons done after taking on another 400 acres. Have a Maschio/Sulky combi as well. Drill around 1000 acres between them, Heliodor also used on its own to till stubble going into OSR. Good tool, heavy thing to lift with drill so far back, part of the reason for only going with Solitair 8 drill. We plough with press and if using Heliodor run the paddles and rolls over as well. Used on a MF 6480 or 6718 and you know its on the back. Looked at a Horsch Pronto as well but local dealer sourced the Lemken and very happy with it. Have you already got the Solitair drill and power harrow?

Hi , Did you buy a Hellidor ? I was thinking down similar lines as an option to drill direct into stubbles . If so how did you get on ? Cheers .
No, couldn't find a second hand one and new was silly money. We bought a used Horsch Pronto 3DC and a neighbour bought Lemken drill of us.. Horsch is a fantastic drill, but nothing wrong with Lemken. We just don't need a power harrow any more.

Ok thanks for that, yes secondhand is hard to find ,only seen ones that are abroad. My other option might be a Dolomit in front of the Powerharrow.
