Disillusioned with suppliers

Have always believed that to have a successful business you need to work with good people/businesses.
perhaps I’m naive in this.
over the last yr this concept is being challenged.
have had a bank manager not bother to reply to quite urgent emails.
Lately LIC have been interesting
My insurance broker has gotten upset because I asked elsewhere for a quote because I didn’t like his. He then offered “to review” our policy to see where they could do better. Surely acting on our behalf that should have been done in the first place.
our new teat dip supplier promised delivery today. Nothing. No product no call. Luckily. Remembered before wynnstay shut and we have something to tide us over.
our mineral supplier after an order for milking cow mineral was placed delivered dry cow mineral within a week then took another 17 days to actually deliver the correct stuff.
finding it a bit depressing.

Don't get me started as well. Incompetence and indifference from suppliers but expect excellence from ourselves. Buitelaar for example have been useless since they took over from the local agent. Lost three cheques last year in their office. They had the cheque numbers so knew they'd received them but hadn't banked them. Roll forward they ring up to say they wont send that weeks calf money until they have had the previous months milk powder cheque. This is the first week of the next month! Only had the bill a few days before and it was already on its way. Its not like I had any history of bad paying!

I had a incorrect load of concentrates delivered last week. 18% instead of the 16%.
Offered to come and take it away, but told them to bill for 16%, will have to jiggle the ration a bit.
I also mentioned the owe me a favour if I ever get short 😉.

Had a shitty letter from a supplier and it turned out they hadn't even sent the original invoice! 🙃

You're far from alone in that, ever since I started up I've been let down by more companies and people than i care to think about. I dont mind as much if they atleast keep in touch but some dont bother until you phone them in a panic going where the hell is xyz. It's really disheartening, especially as they would be the same ones who if you were late paying by 5 minutes would be on the phone screaming!
