I firmly believe green energy should only be from the energy is produced from the free fuel that the sun wind and rain gov us eg
Solar Wind power and Hydro. No manufacturing process involved
Except that solar, wind & hydro all involve manufacturing processes for the creation of the harvesting equipment and some of those processes are not very environmentally friendly - cement/concrete production for foundations, paints for the wind turbines, mining of gold, silver and other materials for the electronics - the list goes on - the reality is that there is no truly green electricity - even lightning is blue rather than green ... ;)

Absolutely but it beats me that burning diesel or oil to dry wood chip is green

It isn't, but the theory is that by getting such industries started, it should be possible to switch over to notionally 'greener' fuels as they become viable plus promote investment and research into other improvements. The reality is that folk will take the most advantage that they can from what is available now and sid tomorrow.

If the rain forests, and other large areas of forest, that have been cleared were put back, surely that would help reduce Co2. Rather than clear or cut down what absorbs Co2, to burn, to reduce Co2.

Utter madness.

The sooner aliens find us, and sort us out, the better.

Can folk please differentiate between the NI and rest of uk RHI scheme.

The NI has no Tier so no ceiling on how much you can claim per yr. very different for the rest of us, not sure everyone understands thus crucial point!

The Gov ignored advice on the train crash unfolding out there causing much of the current problems
