Disused quarries gorges/farmland

We've got an on farm quarry which has had a lot of stone taken out and we've got permission to fill it up with 'inert' waste which in our case is subsoil mostly, about £5/6 ton is the going rate.As for the planning it's a bit of an anomaly,to fill up a hole and put a hard standing on top needs no planning whereas filling up and re-instating it as a field is deemed a change of use so does need consent but it's what the authority wants(usually) so it can be a prior consent or a pretty quick excercise..

Would you need planning for changing the landscape like that ?.

Yes you would - at the bare minimum it's classed as an engineering operation - plus the disposal of waste.

Do not anyone under any circumstances do this without consulting your local Local Planning Authority - waste disposal and land fill without the correct planning consents and licenses will in nearly every case result in Enforcement Action by both the LPA and also potentially the Environment Agency. Catastrophic fines plus the potential of a prison term are not worth the risk.

What is the inert material, is it classed as a waste?

Also, don't ask me to message you, just reply in the open here.

It's inert material like stone, gravel etc. It's been tested and it fully complies with all legislation. It will be topped with soil and sown. There will be continuous spot testing 2 make sure it complies whilst ongoing. If you send me contact details can give you further details

Thanks

Are you interested in filling it back up or do you already have this lined up,

Thanks for reply. What legislation does it comply with, and what has it been tested for?

Please excuse my insistence, but it's an idiot that takes someone elses word at face value, especially when there is no trust that has been built up. You'll have to be as transparent as possible, so we all understand what is on offer.

What is your mother in laws business called, and where do you trade from? We can probably find out a bit more about this job if you tell us that. At the moment it's a bit like being asked if I want to buy a knock off Rolex down the pub from a mate of a mate. You'll have to show that you are a credible business with a legit track record.

it is tested to ensure there are no dangerous materials and to identify the components of the material . It is Trommel fines which are inert materials. These are basically construction and demolition waste.business is aeassociates. It is warranting that the product fines is actual inert and there is full traceability of the product.

If you need anymore details or would like to discuss, leave me a email address or contact number.

Why the big secrecy - if it was legitimate and legal why not just publish the company name and further details re the material ?

Looks to me that it's an attempt to dupe / lure unsuspecting farmers into what could turn out to be a very shady Waste Disposal practice - and at the end of the day it's the land owner who would take the wrap for any illegal operations

I am just getting contacts etc,and people that are interested I have put up as much details as I know the now,its is not shady waste disposal.it is inert material that has been tested and will keep getting tested, its is 100% legit and not shady, its fully traceable, the reason I ask for contact details is so who ever interested can speak to my motherinlaw and ask all the questions you want,I am just getting contacts to pass on .please don't shoot the messenger.if anyone wants further details.send me email or number and I will pass it on,I'm not going to put anymore on the post as I'm obviously not answering everyone's questions properly.
thanks

this is the last lost to put up,sent to me buy motherinlaw

all sites have to be licensed by either the EA or Sepa so must pass the correct process. The inert material is spot checked by independent bodies every 1000 tonnes and if there is a legitimate interest then they will be contact and further details of parties involved will be disclosed. A legal agreement is entered into and should Ny load be delivered to the site that the landowner is not happy with or raises suspicion it can be refused entry or will be removed at no cost to the landowner .

sorry but i have stepped down about discussing this as i say I'm just looking for people to forward on.thanks for all the interest.

Thanks for the info, it seems you were trying to do someone a favour which is a good thing. As you probably now understand there have been a lot of cowboy operators in the past and people are keen to understand who is doing what etc etc so they don't get caught out by an expensive mistake. All the best.
