Dividing grain with big bags of fertiliser

Ex RT inspector (who lived up the road) saw me in our grain store which had a stack of fert at other end of the shed to grain.
Told me simply that fert isn’t allowed to be stored in the same shed as grain.
That was over 5 years ago.
I’ve never done it since! 🤫

Maybe a long shot but need to partition my shed down the middle but not permanently. Was thinking concrete A section walling lifted in with telehandler, but thought why not buy my MOP up front and store down the middle. Lay a sheet over it. Only as deep as a bag at edges, heaped up in middle to 3 m. Will the bags slide out under pressure if only loaded one side initially? Ton bags better than 600 kg. Quite a polished finish on the store floor.
As said for RT I think you need 5m or a solid barrier ie concrete block between grain and fertiliser. I actually think this one of the very few justifiable rules they make. Got to be a very high chance of contamination of grain with fertiliser due to accidental collisions or rodent damage. Plywood L panels probably best course of action.

The way things are going weather wise I might not need the extra storage. Other than that a lorry load of concrete A section dividers is probably the “safe” option. I can at least move them about as I change my mind on the best layout.
We are in midst of transition from livestock to all arable and who knows maybe back again hence my unwillingness to buy a load of concrete for maybe one years use. It’s a muddle really.

I bought plywood ones off a tffer and have used them for several years. 100s rather than 1000s which worked for me.

Yep, I failed my inspection a few years ago because I had 2 spare bags in the same shed as grain let alone using it as a wall.

We used to use fert in big bags until RT said no, and I can understand why. We have now got some new tonne bags that we fill with grain to use.
