do you cut your piece of wood in a wedge shape ?

We didn’t no, the builder with me suggested the 1m baton and screw a bit to one end of it then tape the level on top! It worked well, set the pipe and pack with pea gravel

We normaly lay concrete in a shed with about an inch of fall over a 6m bay..
Find this is enough fir washing out cattle courts.
Think my newest shed has 6" run over 6 bays (120ft approx)

How many cube would 5 tonne ballast and a tonne of cement be equivelent too? Thanks in advance.

1 cube of concrete is about 2.25 or 2.5t.....though that would also contain water. So i’d guess 2.5 and 3 cube.

I collected quotes from about the place, next lowest was 3.25, give TP a ring and ask them?

I just had 10 bags off they quoted similar, said I can get it from Wickes cheaper and they came down to £4.00

Yes I always query prices if buying a fair bit of them. I just went for these as brickies were on their way. Bill came next day!! When we were doing the house up we got pallet price of around £3 IIRC but picking them up at about 10 or 15 at a time to keep them fresh. It’s astonishing how much local branch uses as at one time I was picking some up three days on the trot and a different pallet every time

Builders merchants, you have to shop around every time they are a ball ache if you don’t your trousers will be down.

It might but two problems , 1 I have not came across one yet that gets any discount I can’t myself and 2 not many farmers buy much cement .

I buy 15 ton a year but not going to warrant a buying group, 28 ton a day might .
