Some farmers, or at least their wives, should be paid to live in what are often out-dated, draughty, cold, rambling, deteriorating piles of junk with leaking roofs.

Its not worth the hassle,
Woman i know , said its extra on personal allowance, not tax back,
So saving was about £60 not 315
They work it out at standard £6 per week. So £1.20 per week if 20% tax payer.
You can claim more than the standard £6 per week if your extra costs of homeworking are higher but you must provide evidence.
It is not really worth the bother. I save far more in fuel and time (over 2 hours per day travelling time) with home working than the extra costs incurred on electricity and heating.
