It’s hardly difficult to sort tbh, just wants doing before you have something sitting in storage at Customs, and being charged for the privilege.

Getting one is no big deal. I have to have one when moving goods between mainland and NI and we are all in the UK! Doesn't cause me any extra paperwork but it does for the haulier.

They just put 3 zeros on the end of mine, and a GB on the front. It took them several days to do that, so it's maybe a good job it wasn't more complicated.
