Evening everyone.
I sowed my own spring barley on the 20th of March,
I called in on it tonight, to see whether it needs spraying or not…. It does…
However, it’s got the barley awns poking out of the top of the leg!! I was amazed, it’s only been in the ground a few weeks!!
Dad always said that spraying when the head was on the way up the leg would have a big impact on yield… so I should leave it alone… but the weeds will only get worse, and there’s a long time before the combine will be in the field…
What should I do…?
