I ask the above as a(machinery geek!!) this evening I saw a Claas 8900 on a lorry pulling out from a Velcourt managed estate, where they currently have a CNH 1090 as their current combine.

They were Axial flows when I was there, (1996) although when visiting in about 2008 ish I gather they had a NH machine.
They used to be all Case for Tractors and Combines, so are they Class for Tractors as well?

They had a Claas 780 at their Kings lynn farm but thankfully swapped back to two yellow ones last year.................well Velcourt are traditionally NH combines & Case tractors arent they. Im guessing that they got extra discount if they bought a yellow one in the past, which priced the other brands out of a deal, but doesnt seem to apply anymore. Maybe its cheaper to run two 8900s instead of three 10-90s, but in a season like this one where ive never seen so much uncut wheat in the fens in September its probably best to have more machines.
