So, had the day off today with the kids and Mrs which can be a rarity at this time of year but nothing else ready to combine yet. Anyway decided to just go for a walk round the farm as it’s actually stopped raining and gets the kids out the house and away from the tele!
As I was walking along I got to thinking just how lucky I’ve been to have grown up in such beautiful surroundings with nature on my doorstep and only needing to walk out the door to have an adventure. It’s probably on of the reason I can never understand why people are so desperate to go on holiday!
Anyway here’s a few pics to show what I mean.

There was all kinds of wildlife and insects to show the kids, I really wanted to get some pictures of the dragon flys which where probably 3” long but they where just to fast! Anyway hope you like the pics and hope your day was as enjoyable as mine. Just remember, sometimes it’s good to just stop and look around, because as farmers we’re in a very privileged position.

Yes agree we do miss the nature around us,, I've wee farm of land,, and the nature tats on it,, u wouldn't believe,, quiet and peaceful,, you would here the different bird's insects eg,, but more I look at your photos,, u have more than nature,, ur beautiful wee family,, kids are growing fast these day's,, with Internet and phones,, they learning alot quicker,, them walks are very important to kids,, not that they remember what they seen,, but they remember in 20 year's who they were with,, there mum and dad,, and its a foundation remind them of there family unit,, which is very important for kids nowadays ,, they need to see that ,, keeps families together,, yes there would be odd shouting match,, but that's in learning of kids to,, learns them to see that not everyday is prefect,, but family unit is strong,, wishing you and your family well,, stay safe,

Great pics ...it seems only yesterday my kids were that young ......but I've got grandchildren that age now !
I regret not spending more time with the kids , I was either working or sleeping . Don't get the chance much with the grandchildren they are miles away ☹️☹️

Ps.....I thought the nets were for catching drones !😊😊😊

Just been out in the garden, the dog start chasing a bird flitting from one tree to another, I'm thinking your not quick enough Betsy.

How wrong was I she's there on the lawn with a blackbird in her mouth.

Mrs N is about to chastise the dog until I stopped her, and had it been a magpie she would have likely praised her.

It's just good to stop and see nature's ways and smell the roses now and again.
