Bit of clover, bit of dew, hard ground and a 35° slope, you'll want all the weight you can get! otherwise you aren't in charge.

Has the RP 12 got a net kit on it ? We never had much luck with the one retro fitted on ours it would do a few acres then start playing up.The main problem was it would never cut the net clean and start letting net in mid bale .
Maybe it was a poor kit fitted .

No, it's a string one.... Although it does have the twin string system that throws 2 strings in at once to tie the bale faster ... If it decides to works on the day!

Dads got a 120, that’s twin tie and still takes ages to tie! Think I’ve only baled two bales with it ever as it was just too slooooooow!! Has yours got the silly 7mm shearbolts?

Often pull my lely 245 with the 6330 no problem at all keeping to the 150hp tractors in heavy grass

Had to do some small fields for someone with small gates to match so would not get into some with Deutz
Lots of overhanging branches to negotiate too

You'll notice that it isn't big enough when you hook it up on a bigger tractor. 135hp felt good, 169 felt better but now it feels too small after using a 250hp on front.

yea and as its so bloody expensive it will have to go on the haybob as well

This main problem with the HP thing is other people in my opinion. I quite agree on a round baler or square (size depending) you don't really need big HP, used to manage fine with 110hp - 125hp on both rounds and 4 string squares.

The thing that's started causing issues for me resulting in the need for more HP was other contractors (1 in particular) going around telling customers that my tractor wasn't big enough to be pulling a square baler and that meant I couldn't get the bales as tight as his 150-200hp tractors. Which is a load of rubbish I know but unfortunately some people would listen to him and we eventually moved into bigger hp just to keep the work, silly I know.

We've not had haybob since the 90's, thank the big G for that.

Size wise the T-series/700-series/Puma series is the biggest we'll go, if the "need" for bigger rises. You're probably pointing at the so-called "need" for bigger tractor.
