2k plus is too much.
could be made in the workshop for far less than that. not the fancy tepari shaped rollers maybe and out of
steel ,granted but the weight of that might be actually be an advantage to sit better.

£1500 for the Te pari. £2400 for the Vetmarker. I don’t think I could fabricate the same thing including the drop down but for much less out of galvanised stuff etc.

Decided to order the Vetmarker. Did try to contact Te pari, through their website and through social media, but never got a reply.... which is a shame as I was going to order a few bits of kit. But f*ck em if they don’t want my buisness. Did speak to highway shearing but it’s not galvanised but painted, looks a good bit of kit though. End of the day Niall who commented above actually picked the phone up, was helpful and easy to deal with..... so he’s getting my business.

@Bury the Trash

Out of interest what do you think it would cost you to home make one of same spec and same build quality etc ?
hmm, no idea, really but less than those figures ,would have to be.
its build quality would'nt be the same and it would be for our own use so tolerated and not for sale on the open market :)

ie poly pipe over bar for rollers etc..... shouldnt be rocket science tho.

Theres a Lad called Giles , whos a rep for Tepari who would know about availiabilty
Edit theyre at Lamma i think oops that was over today lol.
Ive got his phone number if wanted.

To be fair they lost the sale I think by not getting back to me at all. But that’s life.

With regard to build and cost - don’t take this the wrong way, but you’re saying it’s too much money and you could build it, only you’d build it out of different stuff and of a lesser quality etc etc. So maybe it is worth the money then???

I also value my time.

I’ve used the Te Pari and liked it, but this one seems sturdier, heavier build and some nice features I like, including the ability to attach an eid weigh head and record lamb weights as they go down.

And I guess an extra £800-£900 isn’t really here nor there if it lasts a good few years. If you out 10,000 lambs a year through it, it will have paid for itself.

No, that's fair comment .
.....and to be truthful about hours taken etc and costed properly....

makes you wonder if they could actually supply it at 1500 or whether it will be gone up a 'bit' by the time its supplied

aamoi was the Highway one cheaper ?

I am very time poor 😂 and a crap welder. And I have a really bad back. So it’s money well spent to me I feel.

The highway one was also £1500

The Vetmarker looks more solid build, galv and very good drop down bit at end plus spray and weigh functions. All handy stuff when contracting.

I've dealt with them before, Niall Snr, great to deal with and good crack to boot! He came down to deliver my Rappa set-up. Me, him and Dad had a good crack over a cuppa after 👍

Thanks for the kind comments guys, but please be aware that I’m not regularly on TFF. I only picked up this conversation because a friend directed me.
I’m quite old, I’m very old fashioned, messenger confuses me, forums baffle me, I can manage the mobile phone on 07967416973, and I can do email on [email protected]. Apart from that……

got a vet marker here works well
get a spare gun and spring or 2 springs for the release have had them break at a piece I put the spring off a Claas 250 baler for the chopper blades it's a lot stronger and yer look like Popeye in the arms after a few days

watch the hose at the bottom can get crushed when transporting or put a block under it to keep hose up a bit
wrap the up right with some foam padding as it hurts like hell when yer elbow hits it

have not used click in it but use clikzin as rate a bit higher so more coverage some just use veterzin and mix it up
can get steel rollers if using solvent based spray on..... but get the timing wrong it gets a tad intresting with hot irons
dont know how they go with the spade type irons only used the scissor type iron here

it'a a heavy unit to shift around
get some dog collars to tie it to top of pen not alot of fun if it drops on yer leg while tailing hurts like hell
would buy another one
