Docks Again

Docks are clever in that they grow on rhizomes which typically have several growing points on them but some of these may remain dormant so you can successfully spray and kill off the growing leaves only for the 'dormant 'growing pints to burst into life and start again!

Starane cleared our hay up, had to be sprayed again for second cut with doxstar. Back again this year.

I don’t think your ever without them once you have them

Put the field into wheat then reseed behind it and all perennial weeds are gone for good.

You will get docks and other stuff down to a controllable level where they can be done by spot spraying- use thrust for this. But a serious infestation will take a couple of years to sort.

Probably a few you missed, a freak survivor here and there and some seedlings. Glyphosate is best or, if you want to protect the grass around them, Grazon Pro. Spot spray and that should be that after a couple of seasons. I've three fields that were riddled with docks and, following a hit with glypho' in year one and Grazon in year two, now I see only maybe two or three per acre - and that's been the same for a few years now.

We aren’t no arable farm just sheep. If I could grow wheat I wouldn’t be knobbing about with sheep.....
