Bloody hell 60k is more than enough I guess something's just ain't for sale
...but it IS for sale.

Guys like that are always greedy. If it's worth £100, they want £300. They almost always skint, too.

Have you seen the Jeremy Clarkson's Motorworld in Cuba? It must be 25 years old, now. He saw several ruined luxury cars from the 50's. All the owner's didn't have a penny to scratch their backsides with... but demanded MILLIONS for their absolute basket cases.

No they look skint, there is a difference, money invested, driving an ordinary car, careful.
They are rapidly going out of fashion ...................

Buy good brands cheap, needing work and there is a chance to make money, but only a chance.
Are there no kits on Alibaba to make a dual out of a few donors?

The ones I have encountered are just lazy and skint. I call their affliction 'inheritance syndrome'. Live off grass lets and SFPs... without actually doing any work themselves. They sit on the rest of the stuff they were given, on the off chance some rich fool comes along and gives them an absurd sum for the 90% rotten Series 2A in the corner of the field.

They often talk a good game, too... but never play it.

I knew I had a photo of it somewhere. Taken approximately 25 years ago, and it resides in the same spot.
The red frame on the front is an old MF drill drawbar, bolted on to enable it to be 'brought home'.
The Muir Hill was there to, and still saw service.

Last time I was in the yard there was 3 county crawlers in the bushes aswell aschalmers round balers along with Fergie crawlers just rusting away outside its just mind bogling how they just dont see what they have got shame.

I can see your points but consider the other view. Twenty years ago someone offered them a grand for it. Ten years ago ten grand, today thirty plus? Now why should they sell as that beats money in the bank. I have my old collection of cars that were just scrappers in the seventies when I stored them, now they have kept up with the values of land even with some ups and downs and a couple are really increasing weekly, I don't lift a finger but someone wants them and the value increases, one day I will sell but until then I will gamble that they will keep increasing as if they don't I've only lost a few quid on them.

What are they? :cautious:;)

Austin Allegro’s :):):):)
Bit too modern but similar. Minis mainly but I used to buy Cooper's and especially the S version as run about when they were bangers max £200. Just liked them and kept them. Everyone said scrap them but I kept half a dozen as one day jobs. Was given a few along the way by people who knew I liked them and just wanted rid. Got Morris mini minor chassis 13,300 (5.3million made) 59/60 as a freebie heap of rust but well worth restoring now as hen's teeth the very early ones. Would I sell them? Only as a last resort as they are something I can pass on that have minimal tax valuation but big potential.
