@Mr Happy and @ACEngineering is the long lead time for these type of parts common? Or is just following the same pattern as everything else at this moment in time?
theres afew round here gave um a good hiding!Cue all the jokes about merlo’s……but are there any specialist merlo breakers?
Have you spoken with Tom at South West Handling? They have a few for parts and have service exchange units for Merlos. They are by far and away the best Merlo dealer down here.I’m struggling to find the seal in main drive motor. It is currently peeing out oil into the over flow reservoir and then over the engine.
It’s a danfoss pump.

Pre Brexit and COVID the supply of parts was ok. Since then the delivery on parts has extend and I can't see it improving and that's why keeping items in stock is key but it does tie up a lot of cash.@Mr Happy and @ACEngineering is the long lead time for these type of parts common? Just to jump on the back of this one, seems to be similar subject, would anyone know the specification of the main gear pump, the one that mounts on the side of the engine and services the steering and boom hydraulics?
Mine has a hairline crack through the casing and I dont really want to remove it to measure port and shaft sizes etc until I have a replacement in hand, in case the leak suddenly gets worse.
R reg 32.7EVT.
Been quoted near £700 from merlo, would be keen on a more economical option, second hand or aftermarket etc if anyone knows of one from a burnt machine etc that would be ok?
Thanks
Dod
Tried them, but they need a number off the pump, which I cant see at the moment with it fitted to the machine. I'm worried If i remove it to look for numbers or measure it up I will turn an operational but leaky pump into an non -operational one, and I need the machine to feed stock every day.White House products are good for pumps.
Pictures of the pump might help identify it
Yes, I'm hoping so, but was hoping someone might have either had a working used one or been able to confirm specification so I can source:From the info it looks like an ordinary gear pump.

Looking at the catalogue I'm thinking its probably a group 3 gear pump, but could be one of four rectangular flange sizes (B, X, C or D), two toothed shaft options and a choice of port options (Probably SAE rather than BSP?) and without knowing the pto ratio I'm not sure on displacement to give the rated or greater 91 l/min @210Bar.
