Does Basis superceed Nroso?

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I completed my BASIS last year and am only doing agronomy and spraying on our farm, on BASIS course it was also emphasised that NROSO was not needed for CPD. Also on BASIS course you had to have a knowledge of sprayers, types etc and know all the relevant calculations to tell any one how to calibrate sprayer/ buffer zones etc prior to spraying. BASIS completely goes over the head of NROSO I am afraid. But the thing I find most bizarre is for farm assurance if you do your own agronomy you do not even have to be a member of any schemes for effectively prescribing the pesticide, you could not make it up!
Also upon looking at revised scheme manual, if you have a contractor applying any pesticide application their equipment does not have to be NSTS tested, a relevant engineers certificate will be accepted. Dual standards!!!

Good afternoon.
Just to confirm that if you are a BASIS registered and you submit your certificate which confirms that you are a member of the BASIS register, NRoSO will give you 10 points per year for each one we receive. BASIS issue these each year and the 10 points will allow you to acquire the mandatory 30 points needed to complete a term.
This means you do not have to actively collect NRoSO points unless you are wanting too.
If you send in the BASIS certificate to [email protected] with your NRoSO membership number, we will update these points for you.
