Does FYM always need hilling before spreading?

Since we have had some recent land drainage work done, it will not be possible to hill the fym on the fields that ideally we would like to spread it on this year, due to not being allowed to store it above drains. We empty the sheds usually as soon as we can in late April or May and therefore it has at least 5 months to heat and rot in the hill both reducing in bulk and more importantly hopefully killing any weed seeds (blackgrass) present in the straw. Apart from not "resting" the sheds, is it crazy not to hill the fym and instead empty the shed straight into the spreader in October?. The alternative is carting the fym a long distance to some land where there are no under drains. Any thoughts or opinions will be gratefully received.
Many thanks.

I believe the wording is something like within x meters of a working (functional?) field drain. I guess you've worked on them to make sure they don't work so you don't have a problem;)
