Dog names

Always think original bitches names are harder to come up with than dogs.
Mate had a Doris, which I didn't much like, though original, and a Bert, which I liked.
We have Pip, Jed, Molly, Mist and now Tess. All fairly unremarkable names, for some unremarkable dogs (Tess excepted hopefully)!

In my dogs' defence they are actually quite good.
The only down side is that I trained them to the whistle, to which they come readily, but they do need calling two or three times if I've not got the whistle.:arghh:

Lassie (collie) who broke all four legs when she jumped off the edge of the loft chasing a rat:inpain:
Bess (mongrel) who was dumped on the motorway bridge near our farm(n)
Bruno (some kind of terrier) dirty little sod who ate cow foot trimmings:sick:
Arthur (jack russell) fat little ratter:)
Pip (collie) some kind of digestive disorder, never grew, swapped it for a cat(y)
Jake (collie) Sil bought it on a whim when pregnant. Heedless sod, gave it to dog trainer(y)
Kelly (lab ?) fat thing, spoilt rotten by @eulb s grandad, fed on ready cooked chicken from supermarket:hungry:
All one thing in common-were pets rather than being any actual use:)

As for shouting at them, the woman who took Jake changed his name to Jack because it ends abruptly rather than Jake which has a soft ending. More authoritative if that makes sense?
