Just been told my sheep dog has a weird name (scrag).
So thought let's see what everyone else calls their dogs.
Let's keep this to working dogs to keep it sensible! :D
Come on let's hear the good bad and ugly names......

Scrag- collie bitch, all round good dog, boss dog.
Tess - huntaway x collie bitch 6m old. Bout to start training. Thick as shite!
Jake- dads retired collie dog. Always been completely useless and now spends his time trying to get in to town!

Nell - Old sheepdog bitch, all round good egg
Floss - Young sheepdog bitch, 12 months, about to start training, keen, bold, and mad as a box of frogs, loves us all to death, bless her.

The strangest dog name I've heard was a mate of mine who had a dog called 'brown thing'...

Neighbour had a dog called Pup, from the day it was born to the day it died at about 13 years old.

The kids could not decide on the name so it was simply called Pup the whole of its life.

Working Weimaraner gundogs:
Ava (aka The Raver' or 'Mooch') just rising 3
Hattie (aka 'Hat the Scat', 'Fat Hat') rising 11
Max just 10, rescue only been here a few weeks, so yet to really have alternate names, although he has weirdly slinky eyes, so he gets called 'slinks' from time to time - nitt hat he cares as he is almost deaf...

Jet, the new cow dog pup is also known as Pant Rabbit.

Mine are named after whatever programme the kids like! Got quite a few so won't list them all but mist, Jake, Greg, Gail and Ernie out of mist sheepdog tales, my eldest wants my next to be named nipper after the dog in fireman Sam. Had a Dryden, ug (was ugly), Monty, Amos, try to keep a realm of sensible into the names as if they don't make the grade for me I sell them for work and don't think a dog with a silly name would sell well to most farmers!
