The short answer to your question is yes. I understand some of them are making plans to rescue the orphan animals of the Ukraine even as I write this.
and there is me, worried about the poor people who will lose their homes, lives and being more mercenary how it will affect the supply of food (especially for the poor who are suffering terrible food inflation).... oh well

what absolute rot, are a lot of people soft in the head?
Yes !!- a few years ago, just the once, i visited the local "Pets Superstore" to get some worming tablets for the dogs, forgot to get them at the vets - what an eye-opener, Doggie beer !!! Ice cream for your mutt !!! AND special offer that weekend - reduced price on roasted pig's ears - a treat for your pooch. Missus buys vitamin/mineral supplements and every few weeks a catalogue gets delivered with their "special offers" I've noticed that 3-4 years ago they started offering supplements for pets, now 2/3 rds of the booklet has pet supplements listed, including "evening star oil to support your dog's mental health".
Jesus wept !! - in my day our dogs were happy with 2 feeds a day, weekly bone to chew on, and visitor's car wheel to cock their leg against.
Ps - the 2 words fur + baby really says it all.

I love my dogs, but I'm the pack leader and - as far as the law goes - their owner. I haven't heard such rubbish as mentioned in the OP, but if I do I'll call it out for utter rubbish immediately. Such idiocy needs to be embarrassed out of existence.
