Dominator 108 gearbox!!

Just dropped the oil out of the main gearbox underneath.....

How bad??
And what should I do?

Pull it apart, its not going to get better, rather now than in a few weeks time when there's a crop spoiling in the field.

i mean that it might have chipped 2 gears years ago and be fine
broken bits dont look shiny
id open a cover and look in but if its only chipped the sides of some gears and the chipped parts look dull id close it back up

i mean that it might have chipped 2 gears years ago and be fine

id open a cover and look in but if its only chipped the sides of some gears and the chipped parts look dull id close it back up

Tbh he has always been a pain changing between 1 and 2

2 to 3 seem OK. Just have to be really gentle 1 to 2 vice versa.
I use 1 on hills

I cut it in blocks rather than turn round at the ends

if it was eating its self the oil would be silver
depending what i see looking in i "probably" wouldnt be toooooooo worried if its been working satisfactory for the last couple of years
