I bet your glass is never half empty , I love an optimisti mean that it might have chipped 2 gears years ago and be fine
broken bits dont look shiny
id open a cover and look in but if its only chipped the sides of some gears and the chipped parts look dull id close it back up
@davidroberts30 could be right , chipped a crown wheel when under load , it won't make much difference to future useI bet your glass is never half empty , I love an optimist
