A lefty view which makes some sense ...
Ur telling me £1mill would be worth 8bn today if put in savings accounts? U sure about this? Would u not say that becoming president of the usa is an incredible achievement no matter how he did it?Half the skyscrapers in New York
Your just reading from the Authorised D.J Trump textbook. If you were to spend an evening you would quickly see all is not what is seems regarding his wealth.
He's smart enough though, in that he's smart enough to bully and ride over people using his privilege.
For a start, all the money he inherited from his dadduums would be worth 8 Billion today had it just been shoved into a savings fund, then there is the small matter of fabricating injures to dodge the draft, not paying taxes, multiple bankruptcies, using Chinese steel whilst lambasting them, having clothing made in Asia whilst also lambasting them, using illegal migrant labour on construction whilst obviously saying they shouldn't be there, refusing to pay American businesses and private advisors, settling lawsuits by the dozens whilst saying 'he never settles', using mob connections in the 70's to strong arm people from areas he wished to develop, buying an airline and insisted on fitting tons of marble, then wondered why they wouldn't fly? bought and ruined a football league, used imminent domain to push old ladies out of their houses, getting sued for refusing to rent to Blacks and Minorities, oh, and I suppose we shouldn't mention the groping stuff either?
This is all of the top of my head what I can remember, there is loads more!
Your certainly entitled to your opinion, no doubt about that, but Just like on almost all your other threads, I doubt you will listen to others, or amend your viewpoint.

Nope, I'm not telling you that. Financial houses such as Forbes and Bloomberg are.
And it was WAY WAY more than One Million.

President of the USA, sure that's an achievement, almost two years of campaigning has got him this far, and he has won the presidency.
I'd reckon its more of a massive challenge and responsibility to be U.S President than an 'Achievement'.
At 70 years of age, this is the first ever job he has ever had to apply for - he's got a lot to do, building the wall, repealing the affordable care act, eradicating IS, deporting millions of Mexicans, kick the pee out of China, most of that he will do on 'his first day' - almost sounds Blibical
Republicans control almost all branches of government, we'll see what gets done, we'll see how serious he really is.
America, NATO and the world isn't a reality TV show.
Ive been hearing a lot dismay and outrage even in the UK about Trump becoming the next president I think many people are missing the bigger picture, here we have one of the most successful businessmen in America with a serious drive to prove to people just how good he really is, a Wharton school of finance degree and $4 billion fortune proves beyond all doubt that he is incredibly smart, forget all the nonsense he talks the reality is he will make their economy stronger and country wealthier than Clinton would!

Yes and he is a great supporter of brexitwould you be president now too with a $4 billion fortune, would you have gone against everyone elses opinion at the time and started building in manhattan? could you get into the Wharton school of finance let alone get a degree from it? what this man has achieved so far in his lifetime is staggering!!

I agree and to top that he does not want a salary to do the job. I think he will end up doing 2 terms and will be one of the most successful leaders in the history of the planet. He's going to flip things upside down and eradicate the establishment of politicians that shaft the people of their respective countries.
this was largely due to the markets going against im in the 90s, hes gone from being worth -$4 billion in the nineties to $4 billion now that's a quick turnaround he could be worth $30 billion in 10 years time who knows, hes said it himself in the past though its not all about the money for him hes always had more than hed ever need he wanted to create buildings and put people to work, you are also mistaken, becoming the president is a massive achievement possibly the greatest anyone could make!

I havent watched many newsnight programmes until recently but every time I have been appalled at the bias it shows, just lookat KW's face light with glee when she thinks she has got some real dirt on DT. No fan of DT but the standard of the BBC has hit new lows recentlyBBC Newsnight's Kirsty Wark interview with Tony Schwartz, Donald Trump's ghostwriter for 'The Art of the Deal'.
Essential watching………..
Sour grapes? You're the one with Trump for leader.Sounds like sour grapes to me, were you guys remainers too..?
The big loser in this election is the media, Impartiality is a lost art, sounds like its just as bad in UK.
The BBC is the British state broadcaster. It is not an impartial observer.I havent watched many newsnight programmes until recently but every time I have been appalled at the bias it shows, just lookat KW's face light with glee when she thinks she has got some real dirt on DT.
