Donald plays a blinder

The Iran deal would have halted the work and facilitated inspections. Now we will be relying on intelligence from defectors. Iran is a big place so hardly difficult to hide parts of a weapons program.

They want a bomb mostly because the regime fears the Americans trying to remove it. Its North Korea all over again. How well did Trumps effort go there again?

I agree in part.

Iran will get the bomb .. the question is what are they likely to do with it ? I wouldn't be surprised to find out they already have one.

Trump is just the current president .. I know some don't like him, what really matters is the threat to the USA population and IMHO all the other states near Iran which I would include part if not most of Europe.

The USA will eventually look to remove the threat and given Trump has spent $1.5+ Trillion on arms I would expect the USA to be in prime position to do something about Iran now.

From what I have read Obama ordered around 526 drone strikes between 2009 and 2015 in Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia, multiple missiles would have been used in some of those strikes, I don’t know wether they would all have been hell fires but it seems to be the missile of choice so Trump may have over ordered a bit but I don’t suppose they will all be delivered at once.

The use of Hellfires for drone strikes is nonsensical really- they are anti-tank weapons and huge as a result, and have a directional blast warhead for penetrating armour. The size and weight of them is problematic because it means the carrying platform is limited in the number of hellfires it can carry as a result.

What you actually want is a laser guided version of the Hydra 70 folding fin aerial rocket. They are cheap, accurate and multiple rounds can be carried in a single pod. The smaller size of the weapon also means a smaller bang and less chance of collateral damage. A snip at 22,000 dollars each though of course manufactured by BAE and not the usual US companies.

They've had forty years to get that right; it's a combination of a few genuine believers, government employees, lot's of subsidised rent-a-mob types and plenty of coerced people - with a population of more than eighty millions, it's not that hard to drum up a fair sized crowd. It's even easier in the capital.
& Bolstered by gov. employees given the day off probably.
