Don't know what breed I have

please, advice what kind of breed is on photos. They were bought in Uzbekistan (Central Asia). Maybe you have some clue?

Whatever they are (Persian???) they look to be well bred and seem to be very healthy - both the ewes and the lambs.

Is the wool or fur of much value?

I have pictures of similar sheep in Hungary i think?
There was a Hungarian AI professor at one of the European Hairsheep conferences that had used them in a cross breeding program with his native Hungarian hill sheep and Dorpers

dont know about fat tails but a lot of mine have got long tails this yr, ... shortage of labour :rolleyes:, on the other hand they have such short lives makes me wonder, ......or just maybe im getting softer as i get older .....

One of these anyway. Wouldn't mind a few if they could live off their tails at this time of year!

A number of breeds use their tails as an energy store. Swaledale ewes are a good example.

And one way of accessing if a prime lamb is suitably finished is to feel the thickness of its tail.
