Doosan road compressor

We have a 2011 Doosan 771 road compressor with an Ingersoll Rand engine in it. Last week the starter packed it in so we replaced it. When the old starter was disconnected from the engine block there were quite a lot of rubber filings in the the flywheel housing. We are led to believe that there is a rubber drive coupling in between the engine and the compressor which can wear.

Has anyone on here experienced a similar situation? The compressor is still running fine but this is not something we expected to find. We're going to get the compressor serviced shortly so we'll get the mechanic to take a more in depth look.

Have been quoted £444 by a local supplier in Northern Ireland for a replacement coupling. Has anyone any good options to price in GB?

Thanks....
