Iv got 20 ewe lambs that weigh 45kg and I'm thinking of keeping them for breeders and was thinking of putting a Dorset ram onto them. What's peoples thought on doing this

I used one for a couple of years alongside Beltexes. There would be slightly fewer needing assistance with the Roussin (Beltex is good for that anyway) but they grew slower than the Beltex crosses from the same hoggs, and obviously graded a good bit poorer.

I’d be concerned about them coming woolly from Dorsets, if you were aiming to sell live. Wouldn’t matter dw of course.
