If it's done 2.5k hours it would be equivalent to 10k because it's done 4x the work of a normal one?Is that the problem tractor that the 'how long should a tractor last' thread started on

Shes dualed up though so his probally divided it by 4 to get to that figure. Similar calculation for his mpg at a guessIf it's done 2.5k hours it would be equivalent to 10k because it's done 4x the work of a normal one?

Then explain to me why commercial truck trailers have wheels at the back and transfer weight to the artic tractor unit rather than have a wheel at each corner and a turntable like those German trailers.Would rather have a turntable trailer like this with 30 ton in it than a 18 /20:ton tandem tri axle on hook ,will be safer
who says turntables not as safe as on hook ,

Yes but if you take note of where the fifth wheel is located its such as to transfer load onto all axles of the tractor unit therefore keep it balanced. Not like a 5 ton hitch load on a tractor needing 2 ton on the front links to keep the nose down.Exactly, some weight on the towing vehicle is useful for stability and traction. Not to mention you can 'feel' what it is doing behind you.
