I finished the podcast, listened to another one in the tractor and I'm halfway through his book (enjoyable) and I will say it has fleshed it out a bit and the last 20 mins of the first podcast got more interesting. He highlights some awful incidents in his life/ families life such as the suicide of his brother and my take home message from it all is still about being open minded, not shutting yourself away, embracing change, accepting you can't change some things etc.

So after the first podcast felt a bit slow at first I'll give him a big thumbs up now. He speaks from the heart. Life is a mixture of pretty sh!t and pretty good really!
Glad he was won you over @SilliamWhale shame for you to be the odd one out [emoji6]

My head is still whizzing away mulling over some of the things he said, lot of food for thought.

Yes. His messages are pretty simple ones (and no worse for it). I kind of think it comes back to a management in the end - stress, depression, making money etc its all fundamentally about management - be that of our own expectations or our choices. I found the passage where his Dad blamed himself for his brothers death particularly interesting and how he had to deal with it particularly interesting

Also his presentation will be available on the tour booking website after his tour is finished, not sure how much it will mean on its own though.

I've been mentioning to a few people that the presentation will be available later too. I hope that it will be more than just all his PowerPoint slides - there has been a media company involved in the tour too, so there might be a video?

Heard him talk down here in the south-west - supposedly 270 in the room and they were all spell-bound and silent.

Great presentation and I'm still mulling it all over too.

Just home from his last talk in UA Stirling.
I found it a very enjoyable, thought provoking and sometimes emotional night.
As someone said in this thread he maybe didn’t bring much new to the table but what he did do was share some very low points in his life, and that of others close to him.
To me that show a lot of courage and guts. Also reassuring others in the room, myself included, that when the chips are down, with a bit of help and self belief you can pull through

I liked story about the caged eggs!

Went into a cafe and asked for caged eggs instead of free range because the free range hens always pick on the weak and peck and bully them.

The hens in the cages are protected and have there own space.
No they dont, theres four in a cage or up to ten
