Dowdeswell dp8a not turning over

Just thought i would update this thread. I ended up putting the hoses straight into the ram and changing one of the QD ends that was quite rusty and was popping out of its socket, did the trick. Now have a fully working dowdeswell plough. If anybody wants to buy it send me a PM

seems to be, i took it out to the other farm where its fairly sandy soil to tidy up a bit that we started ploughing then gave up on, and it works well. Not adjusted right for the tractor we have now but flips over right and turns the soil, not much else to go wrong on a plough really

Does the turnover valve work ?

Does the turnover valve work ?

I just cut that out of the system entirely, because according to the chap who used to use the plough you had to switch the direction of hydraulic flow anyway even when the valve did work, so i didnt see much point in it. Just another thing to go wrong. works perfectly how it is.
