We experienced some difficulties with the forum tonight at about 7pm which resulted in the site being unavailable for a while

We think the problem has been fixed, it took a while as database had to be rebuilt but are still investigating the cases so we can ensure it doesn't happen again

Sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused this evening

...was it James? .......errr Dyson.

Heard there were some not very nice things being said about his cordless vacc'y cleaners in a thread around about the time the site went down.

Maybe he decided to unplug us :p:D:LOL:

no signs of foul pay or anything exciting, just creaky software running at and beyond its limits on less than now ideal hosting etc. - all stuff we are actively working on improving through 2018 with software and hosting upgrades and changes

What is good to see is that the systems and people we have in place to deal with the unexpected were able to react and rectify reasonably quickly

no downtime is acceptable however so we will analyse and learn from this to reduce chance of it ever happening again
